OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE
The American Society of Nurse Advocates is heavily involved in advocating for safer conditions for nurses across the country during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our positions include restricting healthcare facilities from firing nurses who bring and wear their own personal protective equipment, requiring employers to pay nurses during quarantine (even if COVID tests turn out to be negative), and providing hazard pay to nurses who are in regular contact with patients who have COVID-19. We need your help!
“The practice of medicine is an art, not a trade; a calling, not a business; a calling in which your heart will be exercised equally with your head.”
-William Osler, Founder, Johns Hopkins Hospital
It is our pleasure to represent nurses, nurse practitioners, medical technicians, and healthcare providers across the United States. We provide support to our community through advocating better laws to protect members of our profession, and stronger regulations to safeguard our member's health and well being. Our mission is to help our professional community and improve the lives, careers and safety of our members.
